Doha Bank Attracts Qatari Nationals at the Career Fair 2012

In compliance with the sound directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, calling for increasing the percentage of Qatari nationals in all sectors, Doha Bank participates in the Qatar Career Fair every year to support the Qatar National Vision 2030.

And in accordance with the directives of the Board of Directors of Doha Bank and its Executive Management, a five-year Qatariziation plan has been set in place. It aims at attracting, training and preparing Qatari nationals who hold secondary school certificates, diplomas, and graduate certificates, but have no working experience. They will be enrolled both individually and collectively in intensive theoretical and practical training programs that are scheduled to last for durations ranging from six months up to one year. These training programs are designed to qualify the Qatari nationals for holding positions commensurate with their capabilities, and to prepare them for assuming leading positions under the supervision of the Bank’s training center.

Mr. Abdul-Rahman Ali Al-Mohamed, Head of the Human Resources Department at Doha Bank, has expressed his satisfaction with the sizable number of Qataris and non-Qataris approaching the bank’s stand to apply for jobs and scholarships thus reflecting their confidence in the bank and its supportive role.

He stated that Doha Bank not only pays attractive salaries, but also provides Qatari employees with numerous benefits to guarantee that they enjoy job security and social stability. These benefits include incentives and allowances for low-grade jobs specifically, and the pursuit of educational opportunities through scholarships granted with a view to obtaining higher academic degrees which will give them the potential to progress further in their careers. Currently, Doha Bank has 55 Qatari national staff on scholarship programs in distinguished educational institutes in the State of Qatar, the GCC countries and Europe. The Individual Career Plan Training program for Qatari staff will qualify them for occupying senior positions in the bank’s various departments.
